Project Management and Team Leading. I have always been heavily involved in the management of my projects, including submitting proposals, estimating and project planning, designing the software environment, systems architecture design, configuration management, progress monitoring and team management.
Database Design and Modelling. I have designed and developed database systems across a variety of environments such as SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access, and Sybase, where I have been heavily involved in entity modelling, logical and physical database design, performance tuning and developing database-layer queries and stored procedures.
Systems Analysis. I am used to translating
clients’ requirements into workable solutions in a wide range of functional
areas, such as finance, insurance, engineering, environmental monitoring,
governance and international aid. I believe one of my strongest skills is the
ability to communicate with end-users and produce detailed functional
specifications in collaboration with them.
Systems Development. I have extensive experience developing Object Orientated and traditional systems using Visual Basic, MS Visual Studio, MS Access, COM/COM+, ASP, HTML, SQL Stored Procedures, Transact-SQL, and addition have good knowledge of XML, JAVA, JavaScript, Servlets, C#, ADO.NET, IIS, Apache, PHP, MySQL, VBScript, Windows API’s, Visual SourceSafe, Interdev, dBase, Foxpro and Oracle.
I.T. Strategy. Through the ‘Client-Facing’
aspect of my role I have become adept at determining suitable I.T. software
strategies and advising the client on possible approaches to their successful
implementation, and believe my technical skills augment a natural ability to
communicate ideas and solutions in an enthusiastic manner.
